99 England Caps

Ninety Nine England Caps to the tune of Ninety Nine Red Balloons - Nena

Intro:

Me and Posh in a little shop
Buy a ton of bling with the dosh we’ve got
Wear it out to a big flash do
But then the news comes filtering through
Capello dropped me I’m off the team
100 caps seems just a dream
It’s hard to take and I start to cry
As I wave my 100 England caps bye bye

Verse 1:

99 England caps
Just one more needed It was there
But Capello’s taken it away
He doesn’t love me he doesn’t care
But I’m the kiddie - I’m the best
And the girlies love me without my vest
But it’s all just floated off in the sky
As I wave my 100 England caps bye bye.

Verse 2:

Just 99? That decision’s shit
That tosser Barwick he’s a tit
I’ve been done up just like a kipper
And to think I used to be the skipper
Well sod em all they can go and f**k
I hope they don’t have any luck
If they come back to me on bended knees
I tell them no - cop a deaf 'un to their pleas.

Outro:

100 caps would’ve been just neat
But for me it’s just a sad defeat
It’s all over but I’m still sitting pretty
With millions of bucks here in LA City
100 caps would’ve been real nice
But balls to that I’ve got Posh Spice
Times have been worse like when I had to choose
I'm glad I chose you Babe - not that slapper Loos.

bah I can't remember the tune for 99 red balloons, all I have got in my head is Kids of America (is that by Kim Wilde)

Laughing out loud

Would those be crochets or quavers :D

I don't know the tune and football brings me out in a rash so I can't really comment on this one, but I'm sure it's great!!

Hi Bushbaby:

Neither crotchets nor quavers. They're Dah-da- Dorritos :D

James:

Showing my age here but it seems like only yesterday that this was number one. The Nena version that is. She knew nothing about footy. Hers was about red balloons if you please. 99 of 'em
