The Wonder Years
Love it, love it, love it, love it. Shame it will never be released on DVD.
They showed the pilot tonight on ITV3 and oh my god yes, it was as good as I remember!
Depressing rubbish.
God, you don't like anything. heh.
I like money.
That was a great show. If you liked the Wonder Years I highly suggest checking out (perhaps you already heard about it) Freaks and Geeks. I loved this show it had a Wonder Years feel to it but a lot more funny. It was written by the amazing Judd Apatow (40 Year Old Virgin,Superbad,Knocked Up). You'll also notice that the cast is made up of a lot of regulars from his movies. I checked though and they seem to be only available in Region 1, but I'm telling you if it's worth the switch for this one. It's about a group of geeks (nerdy grade 9 kids who have yet to hit puberty) and a group of freaks (pot head kids, the trouble makers) growing up in a small town in the 1980's. Love this show. You could probably find a lot of the episodes online too.
And if your like me and a Judd Apatow fan he also did a show called " Undeclared". It was my favorite show back in college and I remember thinking to myself "Damn this show is good...that probably means it will be canceled any time now".
I used to watch Undeclared, but it was on about 2 in the morning.
Yeah, both of those shows were great.

Why not? I brought a 20th century Fox DVD last year and they were trailing it's upcoming release in a leaflet inside the box. Clearly it's been delayed but I'd imagine it'll come out eventually. I hope so, anyway.
Apparently the music is what's holding up the series. There is so much copy written music in the show they aren't sure if they can afford it, nor if they will be granted the rights. I know a lot of Canadian shows had this happen to them for this exact reason. One funny one was the release of "Canadian Idol" (yes...it's shameful but we also have one), it will never be released because they can't afford the crappy little jingle of the Idol series. And that crappy little jingle is throughout the intire show.
Thank you for clearing it up for me. It's a great shame that something so trivial can trash a release.
Is this the old Wonder Years or a new take on it, or something different. I loved the old one see?
It's the old one and it's on right now I think? ITV3 I set my recorder to tape it everyday, so I can have a WY marathon.
