its a sitcom scene, not a sketch - i guess its not so hot out of context.

that was always there. didnt have an alternative for that.
actually worked with a guy who thought "poles" was a generic term for cheap nasty labour - never thought they might just be polish!
sometimes i wonder if real life is too funny for comedy!

yeah, just like them. Only called Ruth.
I'm sorry but I've got no idea about these sort of programmes so it meant nothing to me.
I think it was a kids show with puppets. Long before my time though.
