Britcoms on VisionTV in Canada - WOW!

I just went on their British Comedy page (http://www.visiontv.ca/Programs/comedy.html) and they have lots - Last of the Summer Wine, Waiting for God, Dinnerladies and more! Also just doscovered their Video On Demand where they have some good clips ...http://www.visiontv.ca/Programs/VOD.html

Cheers,

Zoe

Yea I've also been happy to see these shows pop up on Vision as well. I've been enjoying "Yes, Prime Minister" while I have one friend who has found herself addicted to ’Allo, ’Allo!

Yes Minister and Yes, Prime Minister are sublime. 'Allo 'Allo! is just a work of pure farcical genius. Love them all, should be broadcast more frequently here. :)

What are the chances that the Beeb (or indeed another mainstream British broadcaster) would now commission an broad, ensemble, farcical sitcom with a running narrative? Depressingly unlikely.

This may sound like a bit of a coincidence, after I told everyone that my mum went to school with Kenny Everett, only the other day, but, I've just remembered that my Uncle went to school with the bloke who played the little German officer with the glasses, who always shouts "'tler!"

Funny you should ask that. Here's a story we published last year... https://www.comedy.co.uk/news/news.php?story=000148

Nothing has materialised yet, but as most shows take a long time to develop we could still yet see another big, broad, ensemble comedy on BBC1.
