Yeah he was and Dustin Hoffman.
Also Steve Coogan is in the sixth season. I think he's playing a psychiatrist.

Finally getting around to watching some more of this. Still on season one, but very funny.
Nice. Larry David is just a fantastic character.
After being recommended this I tried and loved it. This is easily my favourite American sitcom (to those of you with your jaw open, I haven't seen nearly enough Seinfeld to judge).
I've been keeping up with the latest season (if you know what I mean) and will be buying the DVD when it's finally released.
But but but ... THAT'S ILLEGAL!
My favourite ones are the porn baby one and another in series 3 or 4 about the sponge cakes and the lunatic nanny.
Mondo Freaks!! Heather Mills. Enough said.

Well I intend to buy the DVD as soon as they release it here so I don't think they'll mind.

Didn't he research that role by being Owen Wilson's psychiatrist?
You're going to put somebody's nose out of joint!
Hannibal Lecter style? Get him stoned then "cut up your face" like he told Mason Verger. Love that film...especially when he eats that guy's brain...what we were talking about again?
Slight bump here but...
I recently saw the latest episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 6, Ep 9) and not only was it really good in it's own right, but it was the episode with Steve Coogan, whose appearance in the show had been announced earlier.
It was nice how he had a major role in the episode rather than just one or two scenes. In my opinion Steve Coogan was the cherry on top of an already great episode, even if his character did look a bit like Lou from Little Britain.
After a bit of a patchy start, the second half of this season was really great, Larry breaking up with Cheryl (mimicking his real life divorce) was a great move and freshened up the show. The final episode was very good and the ending was brilliant, a nice twist and I very much look forward to Season 7.
Cheers for the spoilers Martin!
Some of us are waiting for the More 4 showings (a long time, admittedly, but still...)
Sorry buddy, I did make a Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 6 thread but everybody started talking about it in here, so I thought spoilers were okay.
