My pitch. 'An insightful look into daily events that includes dramatic live coverage that may or may not be true narrated sometimes by a Welshman or some bird.' I'm calling it the 'News'. A winner I think!

I'd watch it.
Many people enter this?
I sent off 3 pitches and had 2 rejections back just now.
I am possibly in denial, but I'm hoping that I'm one rejection short may mean possible good things.
Possibly too optimistic... did anyone else here?
I've not heard anything. When was the final date for letting people know if they were in or not?
I just looked at the details and it says 10 winners will be chosen by 14th march, the winners will be informed week commencing 17th March
I just this minute got a rejection email.
It's perhaps looking good for you Danny....good luck
Just got the rejection too. For what it's worth I'll print it up:
On behalf of the Screenwriters Festival 2008 I would like to thank you for your contribution to the Pitch in Time competition. This year’s Festival is showing every sign of being bigger and better than ever and nowhere has this been more apparent than in the truly overwhelming response generated by A Pitch in Time which – now that the dust has settled – has netted more than fifteen-hundred separate entries!
That’s fifteen-hundred entries, from which only ten finalists could be selected. The scope of imagination shown in these submissions has been impressive to say the least and it’s been frustrating that so many good ideas have inevitably missed out on a winning place. Each and every submission has now been read and considered and unfortunately your contribution has not made the final selection.
Though this news will understandably be a disappointment to you, I trust you won’t allow it to dampen your enthusiasm for screenwriting or your interest in attending this year’s Festival which promises to offer writers and filmmakers more opportunity than ever before. Your ideas may not have made the fickle final selection for A Pitch in Time but you never know who you’ll get talking to at the Screenwriters Festival 2008!
