Thanks for the heads-up Nick!

Fankooooooooooooo!

Laughing out loud I love this line

Write down your pitch in 25 words or less, then on a separate page expand the synopsis to 150 words.

Isn't that just the same thing with more adjectives?

The dashing, intellegent, handsome game show hosts asks, demands and even invites the contestants to answer, supply and vocalise a response to questions, musings, retard inducing factoids.

I might send them some used loo roll.

There's no way my sitcom would ever get anyone excited if I stuck to a 25-word pitch.

Great opportunity. Anybody know if we're allowed multiple entries? And are we pitch either TV drama or sitcom? Or a film?

says - 'film or TV idea' so...............

Pitching drama seems a safer bet. Channel 4 are rightly embarrassed by their lack of quality drama series just lately, so they're probably more receptive to those pitches in the hope they may get the next Queer as Folk or GBH.

my TV idea. 10 nervous writers pitch their ideas in front of a panel of respected industry experts and a live audience.

One-sentence pitches for all our individual projects are an artform that we should practice. Concise and direct makes for a strong first impression. It tells the reader / listener more about you and your ability to isolate the essence of a work.

My Pitch.

"Breaking News is a drama in the style of a news report covering an event that hasn't happened, First Contact."

I just tried to pitch my idea/synopsis and the email address is non existent. I have submitted a request for the correct email address.
the email is at present shown as
pitch@screenwritersfestival.com
but doesn't work

My pitch:

"Anything (show's title) is better than both Little Miss Jocelyn and the final three special edition episodes of Only Fools and Horses."

Oh no, how embarrassing, I had put sceenwriters in the address and not screen doh, blushes
