There was that Little Miss Jocelyn, but I can't think that I've heard anyone say anything positive about it, so I don't know whether it qualifies as having "great" speaking parts!
Desmond's is the obvious example of a black show, and of course that Meet The Crouches (I think that that's what it was called) more recently.
