Dog Monologue Video

This is based largely on something I wrote way back when I was in year 11, after bumping into a peculiar old gentleman while out walking my whippet.

It's not strictly a comedy but there are a couple of laughs in it.

It's about 5 minutes but if I put a few more jokes in it and split it up over 3 different chunks I think it could work in a sketch show. Not *that* happy with it, but I'm discovering that I'm a bit lazy when it comes to filming things exactly how I want them! Also felt a bit self-conscious with the girlfriend in the next room.

Here it is: http://youtube.com/watch?v=idY6wm6L7pg

Loved the special needs bit & that you would kill a cat. They made me giggle. Really enjoyed the bottom of the stairs bit too. Laughing out loud
The guy is a mado.
Well done.

Who the f**k has been rating all my videos with one star each time?!

I think somebody has it in for me, they're not that bad.

Good James. It's my kind of thing. Bitter sweet. Perhaps needs trimming? Not sure. Anyway, worth a lot more than one star mate.

I popped on & gave it 5 stars. Never voted before.:)

Ah, cheers guys Teary

Someone's given all my videos one star. They're not allowed to have an opinion - it must be a vendetta. Whistling nnocently

I think it does need to be shorter. There were a couple of pauses where I just forgot my lines! >_<

Well acted. Liked the part where you talked in dog speak, a lot more creative and funnier than doing a simple woof type noise.

The monologue had it's moments but five minutes was definitely way too long. The trouble with rambling stories is that they can be a bit, well... rambling. Tease out the best bits and wrap it up in a half the time and you've got yourself a nice piece though.

On the positive side - great performance, James. Really spot on. You do have that same problem with eyeline though. I suspect you were reading off a cheat sheet - understandable given the length of the speech. Another benefit of cutting the length.

Seacrest out.
