Things I just don't "get". Page 11

I think it would be more illuminating to consider Shakespeare's plays for what they are - scripts.

I don't think he ever wrote a "book" as such. I don't think poems and plays count as "books" reeaaally. Certainly not the former. When we talk of books we tend to mean novels, novellas and short story collections.

All those fancy degree's don't help you now do they?

:P

Can't even grasp the basic concept that the argument for 'Shakespeare is meant to be performed, not read' is an old one.

Which I added as a throw away comment, but has dragged on for 5 more posts, then it should.

When did you say that before?! Looked like a complete non-sequitur to me!

Rolling eyes
Haven't heard that before!
But then I don't have one, which makes me Even Less Qualified.

Well, so is that argument.

I don't know what the f**k I'm talking about!

I don't think he ever wrote a "book" as such.

I don't think he ever quite wrote his own name, as such.

The noble Lord Bacon, on the other hand...

That theory's been thoroughly debunked to my mind.
Although TBH I don't really care who wrote 'em. They're still works of genius.
And anybody who thinks otherwise...
... just doesn't 'get' it.

Another thing I don't 'get' is why coathangers don't fit in bins properly. Always poking out creating trouble.

And why is my wardrobe never large enough to comfortably accomodate all my clothes?

I think the lady may have something to do with that, though.

It's all your Elizabethan neck ruffs.

Don't be absurd, I don't keep them in the wardrobe.

Things I dont "get"-Low power tissue plan diagrams >_<

You're not southern, are you?

The best of us are.

Not that that has anything to do with the weather.

I went to the Globe once. Very wooden
