There have been many great ITV sitcoms. There just haven't been any in the last ten years or so, with the exception of Benidorm. Here is a list of what I regard classic ITV Sitcoms:
On the Buses
Rising Damp
Please Sir

I amended your list a little. The three above maybe count as close to great in my reckoning and where is The New Statesman?
Laughing out loud
With the exception of TNS, most of the best shows are firmly 60s and 70s.

Yep, I guess I was over-generalising, Aaron and Jack, but that list is actualy more "the comedies that ITV have produced" rather than 'great' comedies even in a loose definition of the term: great, surely?

Of all the sitcoms I own on DVD the vast majority are Beeb, followed by 4, then Fox, but none from the 'other' channel. :O

Oh I dunno about that. Bless This House, for example, is quite possibly my favourite sitcom. Not sure how I'd feel about it without Sid though...

Not surprising. Until very recently, there were barely any ITV sitcoms available on DVD at all, so even if you did like them you'd have been stuck.
