I'f you're going to nick my stuff, at least use it on someone else.

'As a writer, you have mastered everything but the language'

Sorry Jerf, I don't usually read your stuff in detail - please accept my word that I didn't nick it. It just shows how easy it is for different people to have similar ideas.

On the plus side, I think you can be confident that no-one else will produce a similar sketch to this one.

I feel obliged to help the mods here by inserting one of these things: :)

Well, I thought the sketch was pretty clever and I think people are being pretty harsh to Jerf.

& no, I'm not Jerf's alter-ego.

Funny sketch Jerf, I enjoyed it! Liked the word-play and the punchline.

Re: "That's not believable stuff for a judge to say", just change it so the woman's talking to her lawyer and it can't fail to make sense.

You couldn't nick it from me because I nicked it from someone else, Sorry you feel my stuff doesn't deserve your detailed examination, I would be thrilled if you could spare the time. I will read some of yours if you'll give me directions.

At last you're with it Jerf. Do you now accept that the kind of quippish critique that you have been promoting is actually useless? Hopefully we can put all that behind us.

Having said all that you're welcome to crit any of my stuff in whatever way you like! But I don't put much on here.

My honest crit of yours is that the set up didn't work and, as someone else said, the dialogue was unconvincing (e.g. "grudge"). It didn't work for me.

All critique is useless. The fun on this site for me is not the unqualified critique, but the cut and thrust of the reply box. You are not alone in taking all this too seriously. For the inmates on this site, it seems there is nothing funny about comedy. I am in the winter of my years and, as the poem goes, I shall wear purple.

Badge when reading Jerf's posts just think of fluffy bunnys hopping in a meadow. Helps me get through them.

I've heard your stand-up is two minutes crammed into eternity.

Ha! I don't believe I've met Jerf yet. I like him.

Impotence means no hard feelings

Do you give yourself self-impotence?

Laughing out loud I'm beginning to like Jerf aswell :)

I thought it was funny.

Jerf, you're much better at writing your own stuff rather than cutting and pasting jokes straight from the internet and passing them off as your own sketches. You're doing yourself a disservice; plus you use up other people's time critiquing somebody else's work, when they could be reading someone's genuine work.

Ditto goes for the golf gag.

You can write funny without resorting to that, so please write.

;) :)

Danny baker's career receded faster than his own hairline.

True and I know one or two things about receeding hair lines....mine seems to of receeded down to around my arse and satchel.....I have picture proof for those interested.

I was pretty convinced Jerf Roberwitz was pseudonym Terry may use as he's around the same age and abrupt style etc......

So there you go
