I actually enjoyed the whole series. I never watched Life on Mars, so can't compare it.
I was shocked to find out that Alex is in her 40s in real life. She looks late 20s to me.

I just 'acquired' season 1 of Life on Mars. It took forever to get but I'm pumped! I can finally show it to friends. I'm now 'acquiring' season 2. I am soooo damn excited. I have this and Extras to watch!

Keeley Hawes 
I watched the first episode and was highly disappointed. Life on Mars is probably in my top 5 favourite dramas of all time. Ashes to Ashes almost seems like a spoof of the show.
If there's one thing I like it's the sleaze of London, so I enjoyed tonight's episode. Although, I missed 4 out of the last 5 minutes and was left wondering how it all got resolved.
