Does anyone know where I could find a list of venues that do 'try out' nights? Or does anyone have any suggestions of where they are held? Cheers.

I've seen East London Comedy Writers Group. If I may be so bold as to mention another forum here http://groups.yahoo.com/group/UKscriptwriting.
I haven't been as I'm not near enough but apparently you can try out material there.
You must have a local arts centre, run by the council. Try there. They often do comedy nights. They usualy pull in a few punters & are fab for trying out your material
I just found out the mic night im hoping to be doing will only have me so I may not do it... partly cause I will have no audience.
