I agree, black and white is much better.
WHY do they do it? F**king waste of time.

Especially the part with the bricks falling on Hardy's head is priceless.
Recently watched Beau Hunks and The Flying Dueces
Both okay
But essentially the same flipping film!
Why did they bother?

All comedy distils down to the same basic building blocks.

very
Can't find the whole clip but the car horn testing room at the start of Saps at Sea never fails with me - bit of it here at the start of the trailer:-
I have posted this before on here (and it was deleted by YouTube)
It's a 'silent' from their early days and you can see they were young men.
Stan and Ollie escape from prison and are chased by the police... ending up on the top of a skyscraper that is still being built.
It is funny from the start but gets funnier and funnier until you have tears in your eyes......
Feeling a little down today?....
Watch Liberty (you won't after)
Have whole collection of those plus when they were on their own.

All the Hal Roach stuff, silent and talkies, B&W and colourized versions, even has some of their foreign language films.
Took a while to get through all 21 discs, but well worth it, my favourite box set I own.
Laurel and Hardy best of all time!

Agread. An article from the Telegraph talking about a new Laurel and Hardy project. Not so many doing the physical comedy since Mr Bean and Lee Evans have retired. Miranda Hart maybe. Now there's a woman that knows how to fall over.

"County Hospital" mentioned in the article there is one of my favourites - "hard boiled eggs and nuts"
