Louis Theroux

Not sure how many of you would consider this "comedy", but Louis Theroux's style is very funny.

Louis Theroux: Behind Bars - BBC 2 - SUNDAY 13TH JANUARY - 9PM

"Louis Theroux returns to California, and this time he's exploring what goes on inside America's oldest and most notorious prison - San Quentin. Through inmates such as an ex-mobster, ex-Nazi and a transgender couple, Louis learns the fascinating rules and language of life behind bars."

Wave

But it clashes with 2 Pints...

He's an actual genius.
I love him.

Yeah, he's a laugh/ good journalist.

I shall be watching no my telly box.

When Russell Brand does documentaries he's a lot like a drug taking, womanising version of Louis Theroux.
With bigger hair.

I shall record it. Bitchin'.

I like him. He is a mentalist!

I like him, but I can't help but feel we've seen it all before. Last nights documentary was interesting, but I'm not sure it was particularly illuminating. I much prefer Louis's dad, Paul. Now he is a genius.

I forgot to record it. Not so bitchin'.

Nevertheless, I shall 'acquire'.

I enjoyed this. That must have been one scary place to be.
That guy who was a torturer & house breaker serving 500 years was probably the most fascinating. He seemed very intelligent. Most of the prisoners found time really easy to do. As for the trannies, prison life must be a dream come true.
"No please dont rape me" (Shoving their arse in the guys face)
"No please dont....Oh go on then"

I thought it was. Thought it was absolutely fascinating how it's like a big Lord of the Flies in there.

Theroux is best when he does stuff in America as well, imo.
He's permanently wry, but they just seem completely unable to detect it.

Yeah it was ok... especially the gay ex-Nazi with the Jewish bloke... I might move this to the Irony thread actually...

I've seen prison documentaries like that before, so I didn't really learn anything new, but it was still excellent and totally worth watching - especially to see a man doing 520 years AND 11 life sentences. :S

And those creepy religious men that wouldn't admit what they'd done to get sent there. I love playing 'spot a paedophile'.

Louis Theroux seemed a bit reserved in this episode. I guess he was watching what he said, just incase one of the prisoners flipped out or something. Pirate

Yes I mean only In America can they send a person to prison for 16 times what they will actually live for if they are lucky enough!
Pedo's are so easy to spot. If their look dont give it away then its the refusal to say why they are in prison.
