The British Music Hall Society honoured 'The Squire of Knotty Ash' with a Celebratory Lunch, at Mayfair's Lansdowne Club on 26 October 2017 in the presence of many of his peers from show business. Sir Ken then addressed this sold-out event himself with an emotional speech that brought the house down.
Sadly, less than 5 months after this glittering event, the world of Show Business, Variety & Music Hall lost a unique talent. On 11 March 2018, Britain's most prolific comedian passed away in his beloved Liverpool, where he'd lived for all of his 90 years.
