Ken Dodd Page 5

The British Music Hall Society honoured 'The Squire of Knotty Ash' with a Celebratory Lunch, at Mayfair's Lansdowne Club on 26 October 2017 in the presence of many of his peers from show business. Edited highlights of the footage, shot on the day, have now been uploaded to YouTube so fans of the then recently-knighted Sir Ken Dodd OBE, can see and hear what was said by the man himself plus a hilarious heart-warming tribute from Roy Hudd & Barry Cryer,

Sir Ken then addressed this sold-out event himself with an emotional speech that brought the house down.

Sadly, less than 5 months after this glittering event, the world of Show Business, Variety & Music Hall lost a unique talent. On 11 March 2018, Britain's most prolific comedian passed away in his beloved Liverpool, where he'd lived for all of his 90 years.

Thanks for that Billy - great! I'll have to download it and burn to disc, as you never know when it might be deleted or taken down.

Just watched the start for now. Dear oh dear, there's Ken, Roy and now Barry all gone.
