EXT - THE PARK - DAY

TWO MEN ARE SITTING ON A PARK BENCH

MAN 1.
Something to start it off then?

MAN 2.
Yeah OK...If you like.

MAN 1.
A particularly crass observation.

MAN 2.
Not bad but I'd add the word wank to that.

MAN 1.
Fair enough. Mock a section of society and add a rather immature comment that will offend some but crease some others up.

MAN 2.
What the cool ones you mean?

MAN 1.
Yep. Right let me think now.

THEY SAY NOTHING AS THEY CONCENTRATE FOR A WHILE

MAN 1.
Something that's not in the least bit amusing but that's edgy.

MAN 2.
I'm loving that. Gratuitous swearing and rude gestures.

MAN 1.
Something that's so out there and unpleasant that it's just so fu***ng bang out of order.

MAN 2.
Brilliant.

MAN 1.
Ricky Gervais eat your heart out.

MAN 2.
Bloody right

Hi Blenks

Interesting. I see you're being satirical here, perhaps on purpose ;)

Though I can see quite a funny sketch developing with a bit more thought and couple of belly-laugh jokes. Will need that input though.

Dan

What! Me satirical? Nah!

Well, close enough ;)

I thought it was interesting too, but maybe it missed out on some other ideas.

I think David Mamet (oh, yes please - a great writer) wrote one called Squirrels which is about 2 writers discussing the synopsis for a film that's never made but eternally metamorphosing as they adjust and deconstruct the idea. Well worth a read.
