Roast of William Shatner

Watched the above program last night on Five US. Never laughed so much in my life. Kirk sat on stage in his Enterprise chair while various celeb's on stage stood up and took the absolute pish out of him in front of around 300-400 US celebs.

Most jokes left me hyperventillating and asking how people can get away with the comments.

The only one I can put on the site is when one of the presenters said to Shatner "Bill, can you solve an issue between myself and my friend" He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small brown paper bag, "Bill, can you try and act your way out of this".

It also had Farrah Faucett in an extremely tight black, which was nice.

What a shame I missed it.

They were indeed running a very fine line on taste, and some jokes even crossed it and were met with a stunned silence!! The joke about meeting Janeane Garofalo was my funniest! (far too rude to re-print though)

Typed in 'Roast of William Shatner' and have found it to be one of the best things I've done so far this year. Very, very funny.

If you like that you should search for the Hugh Hefner and Pamela Anderson roasts, have mostly the same people and are as funny

Pamela Andreson Roast for me was the funniest. For me the Shatner one was OK but every second 'joke' was about his fellow Star Trek actor (the Japanese guy - Lietenant Uhuru - who 'came out the closet' a while back) and how he likes to take it up the...you get the picture. Funny the first couple of times but got way too repetitive.
A rough quote from the Pammie one...."Did you see that sex clip on the net?...Tommy Lee's d*** is so big it has an elbow!" - crude, yet funny.
