Hey SlagA, it's very difficult to take your authoritative stance, seriously. We've seen your videos! It's like being told off by Frank Spencer or something...

:D

I'll do a whoopsie in your beret, too.
:P

Cheers for that SeeFacts. :)

BushBaby's point is possibly highlighted in this example: The Slaggs sent a script to a Welsh production company, the broadcaster HTV, and a competition. We had the following responses on the same script.

The local production company sent a letter with quotes that really would have made me quit if it had been my first ever response - it was the worst response I'd ever had - it was withering, rude, and I'm keeping the letter to hopefully frame one day. HTV phoned within 2 hours of getting the emailed script to say they'd read it and loved it and wanted to see us. That same script came second in an international play competition.

Same script, different responses. Which of the three was right? They all were, is the truth. Different people have different responses to the same script based on many personal / cultural / social reasons. The trick is not to find this disturbing, upsetting, confusing, disheartening. The trick is to persevere until that script is in front of the person it's destined for.

Not all scripts will be made. Some are better than others but the point is that even the better scripts won't find universal appeal or acceptance. Scriptwritng is an endurance race, not a sprint.

I 'd love to read that letter Slag! On the same note, Harry potter got rejected by the first 44 people who saw it, the 45th now owns japan. :D

At the end of the letter, did it say 'And it's Seefacts NOT SeeFacts!!!'

:P

Yeah, SlagA! ... Oh.

Yikes, I do it all the time and I do think through it as I'm typing "I must be careful to get it right." And then I reverse it thinking Seefacts is the wrong way, sorry. :$

Are you schizo by any chance?

Nothing so glamorous, just easily confused. :(

SlagA That first script wasn't signed Jerf Roberwitz was it? My memory is not what it was.
I saw 'Bill Bailey's act on TV the other night. That man is a comedy genius, great musician, The jokes, topical and pithy.

When I watched the late great 'Tommy Cooper' I never considered content, I just laughed, I'm smiling now, at the memory.

I think it was your signature Jerf, come to think of it. :)

Ay, the Slaggs are big fans of the golden age, Tommy Cooper is one of them, and I saw Bill Bailey at Glastonbury and he was superb.
