Sitcom Titles Page 2

I'm not writing a sitcom, but can I give my thoughts?

Does a sitcom have to have a 'clever' title?

Think about it;

Father Ted

Frasier

Seinfeld

Blackadder

Just off the top of my head, titles which are merely the lead character in the sitcom but do the job. I remember Lee & Herring in their 'fist of fun' book doing a piss take of bad sitcom titles with two pages of sitcom titles all based on 'Bird in the Hand - Ian Bird is manager of the Hand pub' 'An R In The Month - Anne R is manager of the Month pub' 'Godd In Heaven - Ian Godd is manager of the Heaven Pub' 'There R More Things In Heaven and Earth Than Are Ever Dreamt of In Your Philosophy - Ian There R More Things etc. etc."

I was going to start writing a sitcom about adults having relationships (code for sex) and was going to call it 'Lads and Ladies.' However because I spilt pepsi on my keyboard the L button wasn't working so the provisional title was 'ads and adies.' Then I realised I wouldn't get very far without an L so I had to stop. True, if not boring, story.

Fits in with much of the rest of your life then. :P
