I'm going to say false, as his appearance and awesome performance would shit all over every Doctor that has come after him except David Tennant.

Agreed.

If he does return, it will probably be a voiceover / hologram dealio.

I do think it'll be something like that if it happens.
Will probably be a massive letdown.

Yep, he'll probably be the jokey voice of a robot or something and the whole 'come back' will descend into Little Britain style farce.

No. If he comes back it will be to do something good. Say what you like about other Who's but Baker definitely brought Gravitas. And I am not asking about on the roast potatoes!

Baker is aces.

I bet he shags Karen across the Tardis console.

Whilst bellowing

"Timey Wimey up your bloody arse!"

And then making a Dalek cry.

Baker is aces.

That he is, but he's also older then Methuselah's left nut and his physial condition can best be described as 'buggered to f**k'. So don't expect anything beyond a sitting down and talking role.

I'm expecting Colin Baker.

Baker Rocks!

Available from all bad Bakers

I like Colin. He's misunderstood.

And Caroline John (Liz Shaw)died recently too. Well known Who people do seem to be dropping on a regular basis at the moment. :(

Mary Tamm was pretty hot back in the day. :(

Plenty are still going strong though!

But for how long, Ben? HOW LONG?!?!? Teary

I give Sophie Aldred a good few months yet.

Mary Tamm was pretty hot back in the day. :(

Her official website is still up - http://www.marytamm.com/
- and mentions she was writing a second volume of memoirs. Anyone see the first? Apparently it covered only the first three of the six shows she made with Tom Baker (in addition to her earlier stage/film work and exploring her Estonian lineage).

This is just appalling news.

Coincidentally both assistants were in the show for only a season but they're probably the two best remembered and loved of the short-run ones. I think they both left to have babies too which is another co-incidence, although there were plans to write Liz Shaw out. Her character was slightly ahead of its time and was replaced by a dolly bird (Jo Grant).

Caroline's stories are not the best (Inferno anyone?) but she's great in all of them and it's a shame she didn't do more, I could watch her all day. She also comfortably out-acts Pertwee and all the U.N.I.T. hams.
