Doctor Who... Page 816

I quite like it when there are two companions. A man and a woman seem to work well. I just wish that the female companions weren't so tedious! They're always fawning, vapid, "ooh look, it's shiny!" types - can't we have a clever companion rather than one who is 'empowered' in her ability to wave a baseball bat about? I've heard people say that the companion has to be ignorant so that the Doctor has someone to explain things to, but the original companions were teachers and the dynamic worked pretty well.

Donna wasn't really fawning, she was a good 'un.

True, she was definitely the best of the new lot.

Anything other than a twenty something woman would be fine with me. (I know Tate was older, but I'm pretty sure her character was supposed to be late twenties?)

Even a clever kid would be good. Or someone not from this era.

Someone from history would be really fun.

Ha! Late twenties?? I doubt it!

EDIT:

"Within the series' narrative, Donna begins as an outspoken mid-30s Londoner"

Wikipedia wouldn't lie to us.

I reckon it will be a young-ish woman again to be honest.

Ah, I had a vague memory of having heard Donna described as 29 and being quite surprised! Maybe I'm remembering wrong.

I have an entirely genuine and unabashed love for Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

They can't choose some dude, Sherlock's already sewn up that homo market strand.

If Doctor Who is now a kid's show, then they need to have some eye candy on for the Dads. So fit bundle of stuff, early to mid 20s, fur bikini.

Knowing my luck, it will be James Corden.

There's no bloody eye candy for the women, why should you have any?

You're joking right? Ask any fangirl to name their crushes and three Doctors and Rory come up each time.

Learn to share or you can't have any.

Hasn't Doctor Who always been a kid's show? Wasn't it specifically created as a kid's show to encourage an interest in science and history?

I don't know what you mean, zooo. Penis-head Dalek is eye-candy enough for any woman.

Laughing out loud

Or John Barrowman as he is more commonly known.

No one fancies the current doctor. Unless they are mentally ill.
