How do you float in space without a spacesuit and not die?
Doctor Who... Page 805
What a load of old donkey
god this is depressing, all this money, top notch performers and its well just donkey
Ha! I'll stick my neck out and say it was rather enjoyable. Not Doctor Who, but it was fun and warming and a damn sight better than most Christmas episodes.
I enjoyed it too!
It wasn't bad but that little kid annoyed the hell out of me.
It was fun, full of lovely visuals and really quite funny. No it isn't going to trouble the best episodes, but then it's a Christmas episode and so a slightly different beast to a normal ep. It was certainly one of the better Christmas ones anyway, though last years was much better for me. It was certainly better than, you know, the giant Cyberman one.
Enjoyed the reunion with The Ponds, that was the best bit for me.
I imagine one or two of the regulars to this thread loved it most when the Doctor said 'Human-ey-wumaney'.

Be an alien?
I enjoyed it, lots of fun lines.
Would the Doctor really leave a dooorway to another planet lying around, even if it was wrapped up? And he must realise that you can never be sure that some bad s**t isn't going down (like acid rain) on said planet. And the astronaut scenes might have been better with Roger Allam as the boss and Mr Bailey as the comic relief one.
Rosamund Hanson as a Thal for next companion?
It was better than last years tedious twaddle, but still lacking in real excitement or spark. And I'd have rather had more Bill Bailey and less speccy kid.

Pff! You've a lot to learn about aliens, Putters.

Never leave a nit unpicked William!

Nothing wrong with pointing out sloppy writing, Stott. Perhaps Moff was too busy fiddling with his Sherlock and Tintin scripts to make sure this one was as good as it could be?
I don't think that part can really be called 'sloppy writing'. The Doctor is quite irresponsible and thoughtless in this incarnation.

Exactly, neither of those things were sloppy writing. Pick on the things that were sloppy writing if you want to actually pick at sloppy writing, that's all I ask!

Are you accusing me of sloppy posting, zooo?
I so am.
