Doctor Who... Page 719

I just did a Google image search for "doctor who penis", hoping to find an amusing cartoon to post here.

Unfortunately, it just returned quite a lot of gay porn.

Change your search filter to 'moderate' and substitute 'phallic' for 'penis' and you'll find the Vervoids:

Yes, but it's the companion who uses the baby talk, not the Doctor. And 'bingo' is a fine word, light years away from the infantile dross that is 'wibbly-wobby space-wacey timey-wimey'.

I concur.

space-wacey

Amy actually said that one, the Doctor just repeated it after he gave up trying to explain it to her.

She said it because he had said the others previously I should imagine.

Well as long as we're both asses! :D

Critics of New Who dialogue note that this includes "Tardis sniffer-outer" and "bingo".

And a big cock and balls.

Bingo? House!

Laughing out loud

Fans of the new series note the brilliant creature design of the vervoids - as opposed to shit like the ood and the silence. Not just a head and a pair of gloves either - proper costumes.

I have a friend who used to give me a Tim Powers novel every Christmas without fail.
I have a pile of them on the shelf and not read any. Are they good then?

I think the latest Pirates Of The Caribbean movie is based on a Tim Powers book. Although it's probably unfair to blame him for it.

Do you mean the one out soon. I've got that Tim Powers Book somewhere. SOmething about strange shores or summat? Maybe the fourth one will be good - I liked the first one. The next two were not good.

I gave up halfway through the second Pirates film, was bored.

Wish I had.

I think the consensus is the fourth one has much the same faults as 2 and 3.

Yep, I really liked the first Pirates movie but the second and third were awful. There's nothing as boring as non-stop action.

I'm not sure that was necessarily the problem with those films. More bloated sub-plot riddled scripts that overly-relied on Johnny Depp's Keith Richard's impression. Not too mention too much emphasis on the charisma-vacuums of Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley.

I can't think of many films that are non-stop action.
