Eric Saward lives two doors down from me, I'll knock on his door and ask.
(I won't actually go and ask.)

There's no point. We know now, that's why I said 'at the time'. You'll have to be monumentally mean-spirited and sarcastic about something else, later.

*sighs* I wasn't being mean spirited or sarcastic; he actually lives two doors down from me, I was just replying with what I thought was quite obviously a jolly post. You have somehow completely missed the intention.
All this tension..I wonder when Stott and Taxi will just f**k and get it all out there
Hopefully at the next meet-up.
In his dreams-!
*wet dreams
Like Jedward and Brangelina, you shall now both be known as GoStott Taxis.
Everyone on this forum is my bitch. The line's too long to see where Stott is.
Here's the book of Who essays. Good read.
Excellent title.
I have a funny feeling I might not agree with that one...
Quote: Griff @ April 16 2011, 6:58 PM BSTThat does actually look quite a good book.
My favourite Who-related ramblings are usually in Lawrence Miles's blog. Whether you agree or disagree with his opinions, they certainly deliver in both quality and quantity.
Here's an example for those who haven't seen it: http://beasthouse-lm2.blogspot.com/2009/08/captain-jacks-guts.html
Hm. I read a bit, he seems to moan about modern Who a lot; is that basically it? Because that seems tiresome! Does he just point out lots of things he doesn't like and tell us why the people writing the show are actually rubbish??
Quote: Griff @ April 16 2011, 7:33 PM BSTWhy not try reading it right through and make a judgement at the end on what it actually is, rather than what it "seems". Or not. Up to you.
Well, thanks for the oddly snarky reply. His sites been saved to my favourites, so I will be reading again.
Quote: Griff @ April 16 2011, 7:57 PM BSTSorry for the snark. I was just a bit surprised that you categorised it as tiresome without having read it. I will concur that he is verging on bonkers in many of his posts. But he has some interesting stuff to say once you wade through it all. I like the discussion in this post comparing I, Claudius to modern TV drama.
I'll deinitely be reading more, and I did enjoy the couple of posts I looked at, even if I did think he was being a bit overly negative. I like how he seems to think he's been a major influence on Moffat's writing, because of Moffat praising one of his books!
I've just had this through the post:
That book looks good, Matt. How many pages is it?

About 300.
