Well Badge there was so much vitriol aimed at the VVG episode, it made me question my taste.

I thought the reaction on here was Marmite? Plenty of people seemed to praise it IIRC, though those who didn't like it (me included) really really didn't like it.

I wouldn't worry about anything said on an internet forum. That way lies madness.

Balderdash!

I suppose those that hated it REALLY hated it, and went into some detail, and those sort of posts tend to stick out more than the four or five people who just put 'I loved it!'

Yahtzee!

I did like the Eccelston "I'm coming for you Rose" one as well

Snark snark

A great episode.

One minor gripe, why does the tardis not have 'hands-free'? It was bugging me that River had to keep holding the phone to her ear when she should've been twiddling knobs.

Blue tooth signals affect tachyon particles and it's too noisy for conventional hands free.

Zombie Cyberman was an unexpected win.

Zombie Cyberman was an unexpected win.

That one Cyberman in that short sequence was used so much better than in their other appearances.

That is 100% true.

Absolutely real menace. Albeit Amy vs the assisstant eating snappy head was quite daffy.

It was alarming yet funny and a touch silly at the same time, yeah, something that seems very Who.

The cyberhead was great. Much scarier than the carnival of monsters - less is more. It was my favourite bit along with the big revelation about Amy's reading habits.

I'd like for a loan Cyberhand to have pinched Amy's bottom making her short short skirt fly up. With her then being pursued by various lasvicious Cyber parts to yackety sax.

If the alien coalition had constructed a world from my daughters' favourite reading matter, it would have been a very different episode. They both love books about the human body, especially the bits about the digestive system.

Was it pitched at an 8 year old did you think this episode?

romans, daleks, sontarans, slitheen, headless cybermen, proper cybermen, little drawings on walls, judoon, sularians, armed guards from the future and lots and lots of spaceships. What eight year old could possibly dislike that? :P

Oh they would love that granted, but not sure they would understand what was going on. I would posit it had a slightly more sophisticated target. I'll watch it again mind. :)

My six year old brother understood most of it, though I think his brain is going to explode trying to figure out where it is going to start next week. He's of the opinion there can't be a show, he honestly said that. :D
