Just watched the first episode for a second time and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the second.

Awesome.
*kisses Aaron's ring*
Heh heh heh
Quote: Badge @ April 11 2010, 3:43 PM BSTTheme spotters alert: Zero. The number has cropped up a lot so far.
And there was a crack in the side of the Spaceship as well wasn't there?
Well it's a giant space whale fed on chavs and rubbish of course it's going to have an arsehole.
Quote: Steve Sunshine @ April 11 2010, 8:01 PM BSTAnd there was a crack in the side of the Spaceship as well wasn't there?
Yes. They did a big old snap zoom in on it at the end.
A bit rushed, it needed more time to breathe and ratchet up the tension; you never really felt any sense of jeopardy, and the need for the oppressive regime was not properly explained. Okay though.
Anyone else notice that the creepy civil servant was called Hawthorne? An oblique Yes Minister homage perhaps.
Quote: Kevin Murphy @ April 11 2010, 11:07 AM BSTJust before she hit the Forget button, I would imagine.
I would have thought it would make more sense if it was tied up with him trying to blast the whale-brain. She realises the truth, then makes the recording to send back to herself; but the story got altered with the resulting loose end.
If in a compact 45 minutes they let some stuff go who cares.
A ship with phone booths, bicycles and intelligent chameleonic androids. It makes no sense. But the narrative is strong enough.
The truth isn't when Pond made the recording. It's the Drs shocking acceptance of killing the space whale and sending her home in an instant. With the acting/script/directing making it convincing.
And no ruddy timey whimey, or being sorry or crying.
I'd be fascinated to see what the 2 of them do after Dr Who.

Shag!
If you believe Dr Who Confidential.
Well the actors playing the Sopranos kids got it on.
When she floated outside the Tardis did he stare up her nighty and was she wearing any undergarments? I need to know for erm scifi reasons.
Astonishing how shite the trailers were.
Quote: Matthew Stott @ April 11 2010, 8:19 PM BSTYes. They did a big old snap zoom in on it at the end.
And what was that all about?
Is that a Bad Wolf thing?
Yes but hopefully not shite

That would been cooler, I agree.
