They should bring back the 'WEEEOOOOWWW!!!' spike at the very start, like in the 80s! Then you'd know for sure.

I think that's one of the main problems with it, a sort of low key start that doesn't sound anything like the actual Who theme. Turn up the 'Duh-Duh-Duh-Dums' right from the start!

Yes, the recognisable Whoeyness doesn't seem to kick in until about halfway through.

Which is weird, right; why try to bury one of the most famous and celebrated TV show theme tunes ever? Play with it if you want, but don't ignore it!

Yes. It'd be like taking out the drum beats that signal the end of an episode of EastEnders.

Same here, particularly with all the lightning and stuff. I though it was just an extension of the TARDIS going wrong bit at the start.

The new music seemed a bit blander - as others have said, they reduced the impact of the diddly-dums and wooo-eeee-oooohs.

It usually does seem less good when they mess with it, until you get used to it (especially that synth version in the 80s) but this definitely seemed to have ripped the guts out of the theme tune. Maybe it will grow on me in a few weeks.

I haven't noticed much in the way of TV adverts for tomorrow's episode yet.

Second Moffat story in a row too, it still feels like a treat as opposed to the norm now!

It's quite nice that at the moment the only thing most people seem to dislike is the theme tune. I bet that won't last!

Sounds kinky.

The theme is thin and weedy. Many years ago they played around with the Match of the Day theme but had to reinstate the old one after viewers protested.
