(Though I did enjoy Timothy Daltons spitty mouth)

He was trying to make a Pond.
James Pond

I was better than a lot of the Who specials I've seen.
It was very high on plot holes, but the new Doctor Who series has so many that I decided long ago to ignore most of them as best I could, otherwise it might spoil my enjoyment of the show.

Will the second episode have plot holes aplenty?
Will it have uneccessary humour & cloying emotion?
Of course it will, but I'll try to enjoy it because David Tennant has been brilliant in the role & I'll miss him.

The old people annoyed me. I'm Oldophobic though. June Whitfield just played Mother in a different setting.

The lady in the burger van who was eaten or whatever didn't look convincing as a skeleton (effects were a bit poo at times).

The story lost me a few times here and there.

Everytime I see Bernard Cribbins I think of Captain Birdseye (I know he wasn't him but he reminds me of him)

Catherine Tate, although good got on my tits.

And them green people were crap, I could still see human colour skin around the eyes (bad make up people)

Hammy. mmmmmmmm Ham.......

At the very least, the next episode must be better!

RTD is the man to prove you wrong.

Ironic then that you will yourself get old, but only if you are *lucky*.

The oddity is series 1 the stories were way more coherent as was much pretty everything else he wrote.

The Empty Child, Dalek etc were all marvels of compact story telling.

No but he was behind the team that produced them. I mean that Dr Who changed as a whole thing.

I think he bought into this whole scifi is embarassing nonsense.

Alas the Mirka took it's self seriously.

I don't think it's changed that much overall from series one. There have been the same mixture of great, ok and ropey episodes in each run so far.

The trailers for part two do look rather exciting. I'm very hopeful of an exciting end to the story. :)

I don't mind plot holes. Moffat's best episodes have plot holes. But to have plot holes you need a plot. If anyone can summarise a sensible plot for this episode please let me know.

The Master is magic, Wilf and The Doctor are sad, rich black fmaily and green aliens have alien thing whatever it is, James Bond is a timelord. Makes perfect sense to me. Huh?

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

The Master is also a bad shot.
It took him 3 goes to shoot the Doctor with Magictricity

Much more enjoyable and satisfying on second viewing, possibly because I knew the silly bits were coming so it didn't feel I was being punched in the face with them. I still cannot fathom what they were thinking with the green aliens though.

That scene in the cafe is just sublime.

Yes a rare moment of clarity.
