Oh, I see, you're the one defending people with weird, some would say obscene, pizza tastes and somehow WE'RE the Nazis? I don't think so.

I was defending his right to remain silent and his freedom of choice. Right or wrong pizza toppings? - totally absurd! Playground bullying :P

I think Dr Who is a post modern, scifi, pantomime, so knowingly weaving all the elements of a classic Christie novel was genius.

Counter playing it with a highly talented actress, playing Christie as the sad, noble figure she was. Now that really is clever.

When Dr Who hits it's marks, there's nothing like it. It makes everything else look clunky, and a bit ridiculous.

The only show to get close, was Buffy at the hight of it's writing.

And in the genre of post modern, scifi, pantomimes I think you may well be right Rolling eyes

Huh?
And the girls really find that attractive??

After it was mentioned here a few weeks ago, I'm getting increasingly annoyed/frustrated that pretty much EVERY story is either on Earth, or involving humans in the future (Ood (sp) thing).

Please, pleas give us some proper aliens and other planets and shit like the hell planet or whatever it was.

Hang on now, weren't you saying you didn't like LOTR because it wasn't set on Earth?

No no, different entirely. Doctor Who explores the idea of different lifeforms, times, worlds. There's always the grounding that they will at some point be back to Earth, because ultimately that's where the assistant comes from.

With LOTR, there is nothing else. It's just that specific 'world'. Right? Not knowingly exploring elsewhere, but actually based directly and exclusively in some other world.

There's a huge world of difference. (Excuse the pun.)

Of course with alien worlds there was a tendency towards

the planet Corridor, Arndale Center, or the oft visited planer of ruddy great Welsh gravel pit.

Well with most of the series being filmed in Wales but the stories being set in London - the corridor that is getting visited the most often is the M4 corridor! Huh?

Leila, the Doc's sexiest ever assistant wasn't from Earth.

Badoom Tish!

But Katy Manning was the doc's sexiest assistant - it's a fact ;)

Sarah Jane in her day was pretty hot. Although a three way fight between them is probably the best way to find out.

Wasn't she fron New Zealand?

Is this the Perry thing again?

I liked Dodo something about bowel cuts, and spangly jump suits.

Yes she opens the batting for them now. At least it looks like her :S
