Bring back just Mcgann and Eccleston to do that story and my brain could be at ease.

I think he would if it was for charity. I think we can see him coming back to Who soon or later since Julie Gardner & Jane Tranter aren't in power anymore.

Well, from what I read on the doctorwhoforum, I believe CE was having family trouble at the time, not to mention working for 10 months straight really take it out of him, and they wanted him to decide pretty quick wether he was going to do series 2. RTD had nothing to do with him leaving though.
And of course we all know about the whole BBC "typecasting" statement. 
I'm not sure of the exact details to be honest.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is eventually revealed that CE was only ever going to do one series. He was hired, as a respected, heavyweight actor, to re-establish the series and get it back on its feet.

That's what I always figured.
Yeah, probably. In the meantime, they need to bring him back to Heroes. Claude was fantastic.
Especially since Heroes sucks so bad now.
CE is a top notch actor.
I think though if the film is properly budgeted and has a decent writer Tenant could be surprisingly good...

Too true, though it's sucked from the second series on; the first series was the only properly good one.

The third season picked up in the second half, I thought. Volume four was it?
The first half of that season was pretty awful though. Pointlessly complicated, characters switching sides, who aren't even interesting enough for anybody to care which side they were on in the first place and so on.
The first season is probably one of the best things I've seen on TV. It's a shame Brian Fuller's left again, just when it was getting good again.

Yea that's what I keep hearing. I gave up after trying to sit threw yet another extended episode of pointlessness.
It just seemed like they could have done Sooooooooo much with that show and they took it in a direction meant only for fanboys with bad taste.

Indeed. The thinking time the writer's strike gave them clearly didn't help them at all!
