Doctor Who... Page 257

On the new series, they were hoping to keep it quiet about Tennant taking over at the end of series 1, but it leaked out. Pity, it would be great to see the changeover happen on TV and not know who it was going to be.

Yes, with 'old' series I mean, er, 20th century Doctor Who!

Seems a bit early to me, but I just saw this:

"BBC News has announced that the actor who will play with Eleventh Doctor, succeeding current Doctor David Tennant, will be announced tomorrow.

The news will come in a special edition of tie-in documentary series Doctor Who Confidential, which is being transmitted on BBC One tomorrow evening at 5.35pm. The actor was confirmed in the role over the Christmas period, and will begin filming for series five this summer, for transmission in 2010.

New executive producer Piers Wenger is quoted as saying: "We believe the actor is going to bring something very special to the role and will make it absolutely their own. I just can't wait to tell everyone who it is - it has been a nail-biting Christmas trying to keep this under wraps!"

I suppose it would have come out, so they had to announce it themselves; but it does feel very early.

oh man! they should make it a suprise.

I had a feeling that's what the program on BBC1 was for, to prime us for the announcement.

It's P. Diddy.

It's someone with initials the same as a previous Doctor.

George Dubya with Palin as his sexy assisstant.

No it isn't.

Well, it should be.

Maybe Prince Charles and Camilla? Or Johnny Vegas and Amy Winehouse?

I just love the idea of Palin screaming.

"Look Dr the Dalek's have got shoes!"

chiwetel ejiofor, please, please, please, please, please!

*fingers crossed*

Gallifreyone has gone into meltdown.

But the other way around?

I think I see where you're going with that Stuart, but no, the same way round. Maybe.

Just seen the Christmas special. Huzzah I was right.

It was a pretty good episode.

Where did you hear this, Bad dog? Who do you reckon it is?

I hope they get all the "taboos" over and done and have a black woman.

Maybe yummy Sophie Okonedo. She's got Dr.Who previous from the online version with Richard E. Grant.

I hate the constant 'Who to be a woman' thing that comes around every time. It'll never happen.

I don't see why on earth not. Tradition? Lame reason imo.
