Any one fancy filming some episodes our selves?
Doctor Who... Page 252
Quote: Moonstone @ December 26 2008, 12:50 AM GMTDid it get a second series? That's good news. But it'll still be a while before it airs
Dude. Seriously? For such a fan, you weren't very attentive. At the end of the last episode it said "Merlin will return in the new year".
Haven't been allowed to watch Doctor Who today as someone in the house was taping it and so didn't want to see it at the time. I have to wait now. >_<
Maybe there'll be another series of Torchwood, the show every bit as good as Dr Who.
Or the long promised K9 cartoon.
Maybe a show where Harry Sullivan and Jamie McCrimon move to FLorida to run a detective agency and fight crime.

Hehe. Aaron said "Dude".
Ain't it cute.

Ha! But I switch it off as soon as the credits start! I like to avoid 'Next...' bits at the end of programmes cos they're like mini spoilers.
I don't watch Doctor Who, but I just want to post in this thread.
Yeah, I mute it at that point!
(To be honest, most of the time I just switch off at that point too. But 'cos it was the last one there wasn't a spoiler, and I kept on watching.)
Did it say when they were going to air it? Or was it just 'in 2009' or whatever?
I didn't use speech marks in my above post for nothing!
Isn't David Tennant dead or something?
It wasn't too bad. While watching it I kept thinking 'please don't do anything to spoil it', hoping that none of the stuff that normally chokes me that RTD puts into it, i.e. romcom, gay agenda, dough monsters etc, would appear. Luckily there wasn't. The usual bombastic music and the RTD schmaltz weren't quite enough to spoil it for me. The story did peter out a bit though, but on the whole it was nearer to real Who than any other new Who made so far.
I'd like to see a big 6 parter with real characters, real villains a plot cliff hangers and thought out ideas. I'd also like to see 2-3 companions and some squabbling and the Dr actually being a bit of an imperious dick at times.
Current Who is at times good and at times maddeningly squashed and sentimental.
The one with the Master got so close to being a classic and then it hit the reverse switch and wrapped the whole thing in no time.
'You claim not to be a writer and yet you use this most evocative, divisive and metaphorical of words. More yet, you know the response it will engender and flourish it with gay abandon. What is the difference do you think twixt you and others here, who use words to create a world view, a world philosophy or a world, simply, of their own imagining?'
Quote: Aaron @ December 14 2008, 11:11 PM GMTUm. I'm not quite sure what you're getting at?
I imagine I had been drinking some whiskey Aaron.
