He said that he "wasn't clever enough" to be a particle physicist, so quit.

Blimey. How clever do you have to be to be a whole one then???

Katie Melua is lovely. I might read the article in a bit.

I am completely appalled that there is a Torchwood play on Radio Four.

I just listened to it. It was cheesy rubbish but I kind of enjoyed it. And I think they want to reach out to an audience who doesn't usually listen to the afternoon play on Radio 4. And since I don't usually listen, and did just, it succeeded with me at least.

But will it make you listen to Radio Four in future, or only when Desert Island Discs is presented by Number Six Cylon?

I listen to a lot of Radio 4 as it is, but I think it's a good idea to try and broaden the stations appeal.

I just sold my particle physicist joke on e-bay for 128 pounds. I'm not sure but it might have been to Sootyj.

:)

Bollocks to that. If people don't like it they can go back to Magic FM. You don't see the Radio Three lot putting on Dizzee Rascal just to bring the hoodies in.

Actually, I think they do do that sort of thing at Radio Three. On Night Waves.
