Davison is actually the second handsomest Doctor.
Doctor Who... Page 211
You like tombstone teeth Tom Baker the best?
Quote: Griff @ August 28 2008, 4:45 PM BSTI liked A Very Peculiar Practice. That was good stuff.
Milf nursey-type lady

Horrific. *shudder*
Quote: sootyj @ August 27 2008, 10:12 PM BSTThis is revisionism gone mad.
I watched some Colin Baker the other day and what a charmless shouting nuisance he was. Sylvester McCoy was a decent actor saddled with portentious or ridiculos scripts, he never rose above.
Nope, the second two McCoy series were amongst the very best the show ever produced; it's a fact buddy, look it up!
Quote: sootyj @ August 27 2008, 10:15 PM BSTTenant loses places for poor scripts. No one could make some of the stinkers he's been in good.
Stinkers?! Do you actually like the show?
Quote: George @ August 27 2008, 10:17 PM BSTAnd to show you all how much of a real McCoy fan I am, here is a picture of me in costume.
I Want that umbrella...
Quote: sootyj @ August 27 2008, 10:23 PM BSTI saw him as the fool in King Lear, he was good. I think he was a good actor stuck with 2 dreadful assistants and working at Whos darkest hour.
An ugly mix of rubbish guest stars, comedy scripts, over portentious scripts and no budget.
Wrong. . .
Quote: George @ August 27 2008, 10:25 PM BSTI mean Season 24 was not good at all, but Remembrance of the Daleks, The Greatest Show In the Galaxy and the whole of Season 26 were excellent.
Correct!
I watched all of them, age whys McCoy was my Dr.
And they just weren't good television. Clunky scripts, lousy effects, awful extras. What little charm was left after Colin Baker was systematically exterminated like stray cats.
I like new Who, but some of RTDs wacky, sentimental language would shame a Telly tubby.
Check out Doomwatch, early Dr Who, Twilight Zone, Earth2, The Outer Limits, to see poor budgets and effects are just no excuse.

Well, I just think you're wrong; McCoy had plenty of classics in his era, which was a definite improvement on Colin Bakers tenure. Ghost Light, Fenric, Greatest Show; and there were more. Who was getting back to it's best, unfortunately the public and, mainly, the BBC weren't interested. McCoys best were far superior to any in C. Bakers time; and a lot of Davisons too.
Quote: Griff @ August 28 2008, 7:36 PM BST
Up our butt mong face. Up your butt and twist it.
I saw Fenric recently, it wasn't bad. Nicolas Parsons had a nice underplayed guest role. There were some good jokes with the Russians.
But after a while it occured to me. It just wasn't ending, bits about Engima, rubbish zombie special effects. It drifted away to a tension free endurance test.
Maybe it was better than a late era Tom Baker when he was undirectable. Better than a soggy RTD wince fest. But for supposedly the best of his run it was limp.

I am not alone the video is a scream.
I would love a new zombie story, yes please.
A man walked into a shop, a Zombie ate him.
There you go.
Starring Tennant, silly.

Amazon give it 4 stars, I may give it a go.
I read all the Target books.
