Doctor Who... Page 210

Astis a very cheap wine.

Davison is very good and an impressive actor. He kept his upper lip stiff through the death of Adric and the Murka, never weakened.

But he's not as good an actor Dr compared to Troughton and Ecclestone, who had the unfair advantage of better scripts.

I'd love to see Davison handle the Empty Child or Dalek.

I'd also like to see McCoy take them.

Tom Baker much as I love him would have jsut shouted till Billi Piper started crying.

True.

Yuck.
I bet that's why Peter took the d out of his name!
To avoid alliance with that twat.

Oh yeah, shit, I was blinded by my hatred of JD.

Tenant is a very good actor and in stuff like Family of Blood or Silence in the Library.

He's good, very very good.

But when he's stuck saying Timey wimey or I'm so sorry or I like a little shop.

He's dreadful but it's the script.

Robert Deniro would be broken by those lines.

(that I was referring to the episode should have been obvious to all but the most Borg like of grammaticians)

And those who don't have a second-by-second recall of every Doctor Who episode produced, complete with each programme's individual title.

I'm quite fond of Ghost Light, myself, out of the McCoy stories: it's got loads of atmosphere, a plot that keeps you thinking and some quite bizarre weirdness. And it doesn't go on for too long, being a 3 parter. Sylvester is pretty good in it as well.

Where's Aaron we've been talking about companions yet, and he hasn't fulminated about Martha yet.

But you're (for the 50 millionth time) discussing the best companion(s). And no one has been disabled in the head enough yet to nominate her.

storm of brick bats.

I'm never confused only my typing.

Yes, and I'm sick of everyone having to spend an age deciphering your posts. You've shown you CAN make sense. Consider this your first official warning.

You see no monsters in 'The Blair Witch project' but you get scared shitless by your own imagination

If you were "scared shitless" by that unimaginative wankfest, it's no surprise you hate television.

And these line-dancing woofters are about as scary as Blazin' Squad.

"Are they firemen?"

Are there any actual gay people on this site?

At least one, although not a particular regular reader or poster.

Quote: chipolata @ August 26 2008, 2:08 PM BST

The cliched gay lifestyle. I'm sure there are a lot of nerdy gays much happier staying home and watching telly than going to the gym or out to a gay nightclub.

I know two gays just like that.

Quote: zooo @ August 26 2008, 2:28 PM BST

2 bi guys count as one gay.

Laughing out loud

Quote: zooo @ August 26 2008, 3:06 PM BST

Yeah probly.

(no one pronounces the ab in probably, so I'm getting rid of it.)

I do!

PD could do dark thriller type episodes - see 'The Black Orchid'.

He is indeed, and I was so lucky to meet him last year. Sophie Aldred was there too. Here are some pictures of me (with shaven head) with them.

Mmmm, Sophie Aldred. *sigh*

Peter Davidson is a very good actor. He and Hartnell may have been the only proper actorly doctors who never went for low comedy.

The dignity of a man who could face the Murka and still act like it was a feirsome beast.

It's a real shame we haven't seen some of the old crew with decent scripts and effects.

I demand a multi Dr jamboree next year.

Quote: ian_w @ August 27 2008, 10:22 PM BST

Well that's what I thought :S

Basically, ignore everything Nil ever says. ;)

Pity the 50th anniversary wasn't a bit nearer, that's bound to be worth waiting for. If they don't do a multi-Dr story then, they never will.

Oi! That was an honest mistake.

bleedin' know-it-alls

Where are all the images?

Look at the noble dignity in the man.

Poor sod probably wishing he was in "A Very Peculiar Practice."

That was a jolly series, dramedy or sitcom?

And isn't he handsome?

Rather better looking than Tenant I reckon.
