Doctor Who... Page 194

Nope Logopolis, looks pretty cool in this one real design ethic.

Invasion of Time was filmed in an abandoned mental hospital and the Sontarans kept falling over.

Oh I've got Logopolis on DVD, but have only seen it once. Wait, I lie! I've watched it once on DVD and once on VHS back in 1992.

I saw it on TV when I was very young, was slightly traumatised.

My favourite Dr dies, it's wrong, wrong I tell ya.

May need to get some tissues.

Tom Baker the most avuncular of uncles.

I'd like to see an episode entirely set in the Tardis.

There was one. A William Hartnell one. I can't remember the name now.

McCoy was the bomb. His first series was pretty rubbish, his last two excellent. Remembrance, fenric, Greatest Show, Ghost Light, Happiness Patrol, Survial - ooh Mama! And I loved all the dark Doctor stuff, it injected new life into the character. Griff-you are so, so wrong! Doctor Who was the best it had ever been in its eighties years just as they went and cancelled the bugger! It was entering a new golden period but nobody was watching.

The Edge of Destruction.

Just wiki'd it, didn't realise how innovative the Hartnnel era was.

In answer to what?

And once again I say

And once again you are wrong! That episode is a great piece of satire, and just because you think a monster looks silly, doesn't mean it wasn't actually effecive. You can look at that pic and think, yeah, that looks a bit silly,; but taken within context it works really well. So there.

That bertie basset mother f**ker also has quite a nightmarish quality about it, the look of it, like someting out of a twisted, Tim Burton-ish fairytale; I bet it right put the poos up a few youngsters back then.

I bet Griff's favourite companion was Adric!

Griff and Adric up a tree- k-i-s-s-i-n-g.

Adric was the worst character in any TV show ever.

Two words - Bonnie Langford.

The Sylvester McCoy era wasn't quite as bad as it's been made out. It was just despertately uneven.

The Candy Man was a very fun episode.

And no more stupid than Sea Devils, Murka,Pie-ber-men, shop worn Daleks, war machines, androids, giant robots, action man tanks etc.

Or Slitheen, they were really really crap.

I applaud shows that when faced with bollocks all budget, just go for it.

I was quite moved when the Earthshock closing credits played silently over a picture of Adric's broken star.

LOL !!!

Hmmm. It's hard to know who my favourite companions were.

Probably Jo Grant, Leela, both Romanas, and Peri. Rose is pretty good too.

Sarah Jane, Peri (for obvious reasons), Jamie and, the clear number one, Ace.

I always liked Harry Sullivan. He was a thoroughly good chap.
