Kevin Greening Tribute

Just over an hour ago I stumbled across on teletext, that ex-Radio 1 DJ Kevin Greening had died at the age of 44. I was fortunate to know Kevin, and worked with him many times in writing features for him from Radio 1 to Smooth FM, he was even kind enough to do the introduction to the JunkMales sketch Elizabethan in your shed), and he was a truly nice geezer and had a great fondness and passion for comedy (dunno why he let us write for him ;) ). He used to pepper his many shows with sketches he used to write \ help write Eric the Gardner, and Major Holdups were personal favorites of mine.

He'll certainly be missed by this fella, and my writing partner Martin Clothier, for beleiving in us time and time again, the BBC news website has a section where you can leave comments. If you knew of and liked Kev's work I would urge you to comment.

Truly a good all round, radio presenter, comedy writer and occasional cider buyer for my and Martin.

thanks for the info

I'd never heard of him previously, and am too surprised that a writer here has had some success to think further! :O
