Why does being aimed at a working class audience mean it's going to be stupid? Steptoe and Son and Porridge were working class sitcoms aimed at mainly working class audience and they're some of the finest things ever done.

I'm not sure that either show was aimed at the working class.

But then neither was on ITV, whereas TV Burp is...

My dad was a poor carpenter, my mother a simple housewife and I was born in a manger. Oh wait, that was someone else. Shame really, because if Mary was my Mum, we'd get one hell of a CSA payment from the absentee father.

:D

I was born in East London to Irish immigrant parents

You poor boy.

Back next Saturday! Excellent.

Back next Saturday! Excellent.

Can't wait!
*Turns to the side & gives funny look to the camera.

:D
*hopes Steve isn't being sarcastic, as his Harry impression suggests*

It's one of the best shows on Telly
Especially when it's the first in the series & he has loads of bits from the Soaps to choose from.

:)

*puts Steve back on Christmas card list*

I like Saturdays without TV Burp, and I like Saturdays with TV Burp, but which are better? There's only one way to find out...

Actually, Saturday with TV Burp are better. :)

I have to say Tv Burp makes my year.

I adore this show.

It's refreshing to have a really good popular family show which is actually funny without always sticking to the "rules" of what family comedy should be. The Beeb should complement it by sticking on CBBC's Sorry I've Got No Head in a weekend early evening slot. (Good to see SIGNH has been recommissioned, btw.)

This series is meant to last for 25 episodes and be broadcast up till March 2010.

I know it's heresy to say so but this series hasn't been very good so far has it?

Yes, it's been bloody awful - really really weak.

I think it's been great.

The show has always been of very varying quality in terms of laughs. How funny it's going to be of course relies on what the pickings are like from the week's TV. Also, Harry tends to set up running jokes about certain shows throughout the run, so these take a while to bed-in. Each show usually contains a couple of genuinely funny moments in it though, which is a fairly good batting average for this type of programme.

A little wobbly thus far but generally good. Gandhi seems to be a clear running gag and he seems to be sending up his onscreen persona a little bit.

Probably one of the funniest bits had to be the competition they started "It's not for kids!" :D
