British Comedy Guide

BBC iPlayer

Don't know if this has been brought up already, but the BBC let you catch up on the last 7 days of BBC TV, here is a link tell me what you think: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/

edited your link as it was wrong. :D

Thanks, I just noticed my self lol.

I've not tried in a few months. Was on the beta test before it was available to the public, and thought it wasn't nearly ready. But heyho! Personally, I'm more intrigued by the archives being opened up...

I was watching a programme about the bbc archives, here is a link if you want to watch it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/

I did hear that the bbc want to make all the programme's in there archives
watchable online, they have just got to sort out the right's.

Quite a lot of comedy available for free (courtesy of the Canon Comedy Lounge) at the moment if you download the 4oD (Channel 4 on-Demand) stuff: all of Peep Show, Comic Strip, Father Ted amongst others.

Dan

Yeah I heard about 4od, is it true that you can download all there archives ?

As far as I can see, most of the stuff is available but you have to rent or buy it. The last 30 days' broadcasted stuff is free, anything older is available (usually at 99p to rent and 1.99 to buy per episode). This free comedy thing appears to be sponsored so there's a fair bit available for free in that respect.

Obviously, it has the same 'view it within 30 days' of downloading (or 48 hours of starting to watch it) as the BBC iPlayer does (7 days of starting to watch in that case), due to digital rights management.

Dan

Thanks for telling me.

I will be watching the christmas shows on BBC iplayer, also here is
a link about it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2007/12_december/18/iplayer.shtml

Shows. Not show's. It's plural (ie referring to more than one show). :)

I'm glad I went back and edited "30 days'" so it was plural possessive otherwise I'd have been severely scolded...

Oh dear rookie mistake of having three quotation marks :O Better edit before Aaron sees.

*Checks posts for spelling mistakes*

*Realises he got a C at GCSE English and goes off to cry*

Actually, it's a single to denote plural possessive, followed by a double to show I was quoting.

:P

<climbs back up own arse>

Dan

Why can't I have 3 question marks???
