Please Sir Question

I'm currently watching the classic ITV sitcom Please Sir. There are 5 teachers in it:
Bernard Hedges
Doris Ewell
Morris Cromwell
Osworld Smith
Mr Price.

Does anybody know Price's first name. He is the Welsh one played by Richard Davies.

Was it a welsh name such as Evan or Reece?

I don't know, but thanks anyway

I know that was no help but it will probably come to me at 3.27 in the morning.

I would wait for Aaron on this one; there isn't much in the BSG archive on the show...

Or wait for Davids insomnia to kick in, whatever’s first really.

I didn't answer 'cos I've no idea either. All of my usual sources just list 'Mr. price', and unfortunately I'm not familiar enough with the show to know myself!

Well there's a first, i have a feeling it could be Evan as Dave said.

well it didn't come to me - unless I was asleep at the time.

I had a look around but I can't find his name.

Correction- it's Osbourne Smith. Nobody know Price's first name yet?

Just watched an episode where his name is mentioned, it is either Von or Vorn, one of those Welsh names. I'm not sure if the spelling is right, that's how it's pronounced. Anyone on the sitcom forum who knows a thing or two about Welsh names and would be able to spell the name?

That would be Vaughan then

Laughing out loud

Yeah, that's what I was thinking- but I wasn't aware Vaughn was a first name- just a surname- but can it be a first name? If so, it's a new one on me.

Haven't you heard of Vaughan Toulouse?

He was singer in some post punk group. I don't think it was his real name though!

Wasn't their record "Is Vic there?" - ah yes - Department S I think.
