Never liked that show much, to be honest. There was a Crystal Maze thingy at my local bowling alley place when it first opened though! Complete with the zones and big crystaly wind thing at the end and everything.

I do find myself quite amused by Takeshi's Castle but I can completely understand why Japanese people are quite offended that it is shown. This is basically the only Japanese show broadcast in the West I think and if the only British show broadcast abroad was It's a Knockout then people here would moan like crazy about it.

Why? Do we give a f**k what other people see?

Ahhh!!! Love Takeshi's Castle. Reminds me of Endurance that Tarrant's TV used to show. Totally nuts!

I had heard a rumour about Crystal Maze coming back, didn't hear who the host was going to be though, bet Russel Brand can't play the harmonica like Richard O'Brien could though.

Nope, you're correct. I don't know why, but I really liked it!

Oh god, I love this show. One of the funniest things on TV, and it makes me miss Ftn

One of my favourite games was "Uphill Garden", where they'd have a contestant run up a big hill, with a guard (sometimes guards) trying to shoot the paper ring on their head with a water pistol. The only thing is that the guards would have to wear very silly costumes that would end up causing them to fall down the hill before they've even had a single shot, allowing the contestant to walk past to the next round.

And there was another game I loved called Avalanche, where again a contestant has to run up a big hill with boulders being tossed at them. One time they put so many boulders down the hill that it not only wiped out the contestant, but jammed the entire path from top to bottom with two guards pressed against the wall.

Oh, and there was this one time they did a completely different end game where they had to climb to the top of this fort. Then when one of the contestants had what had looked like made it to the top, the show suddenly ends, and Craig goes "What's going on? There must be no winners this time on Takeshi's Castle?".
