As an Athiest, am I aloud to celebrate what is a christian ceremony?

I used to work beside a guy who was a part-time preacher with his own congregation. I sent him a card every year with "Happy Christmas" scored out and replaced with "Happy Present Giving Day"

He used to send me one back addressed to "The Heathen"

Maybe you should celebrate Festivus instead! (yeah I've been watching Seinfeld season 9)

Anyway don't worry, the Christians stole most of the common Christmas traditions from Pagan rituals. So they don't really own it.

By the way I went into a similar debate in my podcast Christmas Special last year, as it's that time again maybe people should take a listen (cheap plug) and also it features lots of 'not-so-common' Christmas songs.

How's that?

Now you're just being picky, i've had a bad day, and i had a shit teacher.
:)

Hey look I'm the nice cop, it's bad cop Aaron you gotta look out for. He's real mean when it comes to punctuation.

Hope your day gets better.

As an atheist you can celebrate exactly what you want!
We're the only ones that can.

I don't do any explicitly religious stuff I don't think.
There's nothing about Jesus in an xmas tree, giving presents, watching TOTP, putting up holly, tinsel or eating a massive roast dinner. :)

You mean we have punctuation police on here? Oh shit't

I'd love to write a comedy with a black Jesus, soppy hat, the lot, what you fink?

3 weeks today *dances* hehe I ruined the thread a bit

I hate all Christmas songs. They are just shit. I hate Carols, Slade & i want to shoot that twat Cliff Richards. Christmas is for small children & the almost dead old griners.

Thanks Charley!
