AIRPORT

SCENE: AIRPORT TERMINAL, WE SEE PEOPLE WAITING FOR THEIR FREINDS AND FAMILY, SOME HOLD UP SIGNS BEARING THE NAME OF PEOPLE THEY ARE WAITING FOR, OTHERS HOLD UP PICTURES.

AT THE REAR OF THE CROWD, WE SEE A SMALL MUSLIM MAN, HOLDING UP A PICTURE OF HIS WIFE WEARING A BURKA.

I like this but do people hold up pictures at airports, I'm not sure I've seen it. You could take it to the ridiculous and set it in Saudi and everyone is holding up pictures of women in bhurkas.

I thought this funny, I don't think it matters in sketches whether or not it happens in real life. An example tonight on Omid Djalili (think that's how it's spelt) was him fighting with fish :D

Both these ideas could work as one sketch, with the first idea in one terminal, then flick across to the second idea with a Saudi airlines sign in the background somewhere, progressing the sketch to the more absurd level.

Or i could just go to Leeds and Bradford airport, i'd have no shortage of extras.

The man holding the picture should be a taxi 'firm' and at the end of your sketch, the camera pans to the passengers and mostly all are wearing burkas

Yeah, there could be a whole taxi of them, just sat outside the airport.

Yeah I too think this is a nice idea, plus its a pure visual gag which is always good. I guess my issue is the picture, when everyone else is holding up a name. Perhaps if it was a board that had the name "Stevie Wonder" written on it and underneath holes cut out like braile
