Requirements for further episodes synopsis?

Hello guys

So my script is almost ready to recieve it's rejections out in the big wide world but before it can be sent I hear that it is a requirement that you should include a synopsis of each proposed episode in the series (ie another five to go with the one submitted).

My query is on the format and detail required for each episode synopsis. Should it be detailed so that you explain the intricacies of the plot, the characters needed, scene requirements etc or should it be more of a five line blurb that gives a flavour of what is to come (a bit like you would read on the back of a dvd for instance)?

Has anyone got any examples they wouldn't mind showing of an episode synopsis they have done (or seen)?

Thanks in advance!

Def.

I'd say five-line, back of a DVD blurb. PM me your email and I'll send you mine.

Agree with Dan. At the very most a paragraph each but only concerned with the main plot, no detail. For example:

Frasier takes Martin to the theatre to act as his beard. Martin then has to fend off unwelcome male attention, without upsetting Frasier's date.

The recent comp for Ch4 Talent asked for a synopsis of the six episodes in not longer than three pages. I did mine in two.
