KOQ is a good show. Underrated here, in my opinion.
And happy to help.

I know Birds Of A Feather adopted this technique in the 90's.
Till Death Do Us Part by Johnny Speight went to America and became All In The Family some of his original scripts were used for the US version. Steptoe and Son by Ray Galton & Alan Simpson went to the US and became Sanford and Son, I think some original Steptoes scripts were used. Man About The House by Johnny Mortimer and Brian Cook went to America and became Three's Company. I think some original British scripts were usedJohn Sullivan wrote Dear John, this went to America with the same title and he worked on that too. I think the writers of the British originals had input into the US versions. Most recently Steven Moffat worked on the US version of his British sitcom Coupling and the writers of a new British sitcom called Gavin & Stacey are working on a US version.
I think during the 90's comedy was brillant.
