Scottish Baftas? What's the point?

I was just browsing the news story's and saw something on the Scottish Baftas and thought, "What's the point?" I have no problem with Scotland, it's sweet that they think they're a proper country, but having their own Bafta ceremony is just ridiculous. What next? The Cheddar Gorge Baftas? The Alton Towers Baftas?

I know what you mean chipolata - frankly I think it's quite insulting - it's sort-of suggesting that Scottish comedy isn't good enough to go up against English comedy at the normal Baftas (which of course is not the case).

This year's comedy award was a battle between The Comedy Unit and Effingee Productions... the two are closely connected as you probably know. It's almost as if The Scottish Baftas have been setup to make everyone feel like a winner.
