I'm with you on this... I didn't like Alan Carr, but having watched him on Live at the Apollo and a couple of other recent shows I've actually realised he is quite an accomplished stand-up.
Live at the Apollo 2007 Page 5
I didn't think that Alan Carr would be that great, but I found myself laughing out loud at his stint on Live At The Apollo. I shall try to investigate him further!
I didn't know Joan Rivers does stand up...oh wait she can't!
Yeah, I avoided this weeks show, what a crap line up.
Joan Rivers is pretty good, not much of a Kielty fan at all though.
Still, I'll see his set and see what it's like.
A rather weak line up this week wasn't it. Kielty was alright but most of his material was rather common ('the differences between men and women'... like that's fresh!)
Next week should be better: Dara O'Briain, Stephen K Amos and Frankie Boyle.
Joan Rivers did lots of her old cliche ones but she still makes them sound funny though.
The best ever Joan Rivers comedy thing was on The Simpsons when 'she' said 'Help me! My daughters not talented'
I at that but to get it you would have to have seen the rubbish sitcom she did with her daughter which was absolute horse piss.
Patrick Kielty brought peace to Northern Ireland so leave him alone (not really hes a grade A twat)
Tonight anyone? I enjoyed immensely!
Yes, very good. Nig nog!
Loved Frankie's condom joke and the one his did straight after, which I've just forgotten, but most of the jokes we've heard before on Mock the Week, still good though.
He diluted the language a bit!
I like the 'my dad'll f**k your dad' line, but he popped a 'shag' in there instead.
Stephen K Amos is ace. I just hope he hasn't started a massive baboon shouting craze wherever he goes from now on.
*laughs just thinking about that line*
Oh and I thought Frankie's "shag" line worked better than with "f**k".
I watched the one with Lee Mack and Sean Lock. I thought Lee was very funny. Some of his jokes had me in tears (and I'm not even a big Lee fan). As for Sean Lock, it was a different story. I found him rather dull and tedious. I watched to the point where he was calling the St John's Ambulance twats and by this point I'd had enough and switched off.
I'm gutted I missed Alan Carr. I tried to get tickets to his recent tour but was unsuccessful.
Def.
Hi All
Loved the FB gag about the train toilet door. Not watched much of his stuff, but couldn't stop chuckling. Is there a way of watching the show from last night again somewhere?
Any FB recommended links/DVDs?
Cheers
