Thought you'd like it! :D

I love peanuts, but they don't love me back. I practically grew up on peanut butter sandwiches and thought it was normal to have a stomach ache and itchy lips after eating one.

Bad luck bro. I hate the one you get now and again that tastes absolutely disgusting and puts you of the rest of the bag. Sick *shivers* Horrible.

I do love your taste in beer.

Can't you try to persuade those lager louts that beer is supposed to have a flavour?

I fear it's a lost cause, but I've found that most men are at least somewhat adventurous when it comes to trying new beers. Women are almost universally phobic when it comes to non-lagers. I weep a little every time my girlfriend orders a Bud Light, but she appeases me and orders some sort of apple-wheat beer when we eat at our favorite Cajun restaurant.

Oh I forgot all about that! *shudders*

I have that problem with sunflowers seeds. Do they sell them as snacks over there?

I nearly died in the middle of the desert in 1991. I was driving back to Florida (almost 3000 miles!) after visiting friends in California. My kids were 4 and 5 and I'd whipped up a big cooler full of peanut butter & jelly (jam, as far as Brits are concerned) sandwiches for them and ham sandwiches for myself. It seems the youngsters grew tired of the fare and began eating my ham sandwiches. We'd just left El Paso, Texas, and there was nothing but 600 miles of empty highway until San Antonio, where I now live, oddly enough. I was absolutely starving and decided to eat one of the PB&J sandwiches. About 30 minutes later my face began to puff up, my eyes began to swell shut and I had trouble breathing. We were 200 miles from the nearest civilization, so I drove as fast as the rented Chevy could take me and I raced to the first store I could find. I ran in, found the only product they sold that contained antihistamine and wolfed it down right at the counter. It was a fizzy Alka-Seltzer allergy medication that was supposed to be dissolved in water, but I just chewed up the tablets and began foaming at the mouth while a policeman and the shop clerk stared at me with distrust. I explained that I was having an allergic reaction and the cop pointed me in the direction of the nearest hospital.

I parked outside the emergency entrance and instructed the kids to run inside if I keeled over. Then I slept the antihistamine sleep of the damned for a few hours, felt well enough to continue the journey and rode on into the night.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuucking hell.

:O Good grief!!

:O Whoah!

Woah. Move away from the peanut butter!!!

I think sunflower seeds are available here, but not as widely as peanuts. Sunflower seeds always remind me of Ace Ventura.

:O

I add my face to the list of those who are shocked.

It's probably the fact that you mixed it with jam. Who in their right mind would think of mixing peanut butter with jam?

Americanos!

And my brother.

Wikipedia says the average American eats 1500 PB&J sandwiches during their childhood and that they're George W's favorite sandwich:

Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, on Radio one I heard about the practise of 'combing cereals' that had intrigued me... I'm thinking Frosties and Rice Crispies... do we have any practitioners?
